Panthers Look to Extend Their Winning Streak as They Head on to Take on the Blue Jackets.

The Florida Panthers take on the Columbus Blue Jackets in an attempt to extend their winning streak. The Blue Jackets won the previous meeting on October 11th by a score of 5-4.

Tale of the Tape

Florida (7-5-3)

Florida is coming off of a 2-1 win against the Philadelphia Flyers to start a six-game road trip. Additionally, Mike Hoffman is looking to extend his point streak to 14 games. If he does so, it will be the longest in Panthers history.

Speaking of point streaks, Evgenii Dadonov is looking to extend his to 13 after scoring a goal against the Flyers. It is the first time since 2007 that a pair of teammates in the NHL had point streaks of at least 12 games.

Additionally, expect Roberto Luongo to get the call in net tonight. He is currently 4-0-0 since coming back from injury and posts 1.33 goals against average.

Columbus (10-6-2)

Columbus is also coming off of a 2-1 win. This time, it was against the Dallas Stars on Monday. Pierre Luc-Dubois scored the game winner.

Cam Atkinson has three points in his last two games and looks to tally another one in this matchup. Additionally, Artemi Panarin currently leads the team with 18 points. In their last meeting, Panarin had a four-point night with a goal and three assists. Unfortunately, he will not play due to an illness.

Due to an illness, Sergei Bobrovsky will not be playing tonight. Expect Joonas Korpossalo to get the call.

Injuries/suspensions

Florida

Derek Mackenzie is still recovering from shoulder surgery.

Jaime McGinn is still recovering from back surgery.

Michael Haley has been assigned to a conditioning stint with the AHL’s Springfield Thunderbirds. That is a huge step in the right direction for his personal issues.

Columbus

Sergei Bobrovsky, as well as Artemi Panarin, will not play tonight due to illness.
