Week 10 of Mountainneer football has came to an end. West Virginia wins over TCU. Let’s take a look at what went down at Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown, WV on Saturday. West Virginia Mountaineers are currently leading the Big 12 conference.

West Virginia Wins Over TCU

First Quarter

The first quarter was a quiet one. At 8:10, TCU made a 30 yard field to be the first one on the scoreboard. This made the score 3-0.

Second Quarter

In the first quarter, we saw TCU make it on the scoreboard first, but that quickly changed. West Virginia made a 47 yard field goal at 14:47, making the scored tied at 3. Mountaineers had a 33 yard run at 5:09, and made the score 10-3. A few minutes later 1 yard run for a touchdown by the Mountaineers made the socre 17-3. 1:39 left on the clock, before halftime, quarterback Will Grier threw a 32 yard pass, to make a touchdown; bringing the score 24-3.

HALFTIME SCORE: WV 24-3

Third Quarter

At the start of the third quarter, the Horned Frogs looked to make a name for themselves. At 11:43, the lead of West Virginia extended to 26-3, after a safety play. The Mountainners made at 1 yard touchdown run, making the score 33-3. After the 10 minute mark, the Horned Frogs managed to score again with a 28 yard pass to Jalen Reagor, making the score 33-10. After the touchdown from TCU, 1:25 left in the quarter West Virginia extended the lead with a 8 yard pass for a touchdown; making the score 40-10.

Fourth Quarter

The last score for the game was a 4 yard touchdown pass, making the final score of the game 47-10 Mountaineers.

What’s Next?

Quarterback Will Grier had 343 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, and 1 interception for the game. Back up quarterback Jack Allison had 28 passing yards against the Horned Toads. The Mountaineers go 8-1, and next week they will head to Oklahoma State, who have the record of 5-5.

Quarterback Michael Collins had 229 passing yards, and 1 touchdown for the game. After their loss to the Mountaineers, they will head to Baylor next week, with the record 4-6. Will the Horned frogs have another win, or will they just fall to 4-7 for the the week?

West Virginia is currently ranked number 9, where will the Mountaineers stand after this? Will they move up, or just stay at number 9?
