Led By Curry, Warriors Stun Wizards In Spectacular Fashion

The Golden State Warriors stunned the Washington Wizards in a 144-122 victory on Wednesday night. Stephen Curry set the game into motion by putting up 23 points in the first quarter of the game. He came out hot and the Wizards could not find an answer for him. Curry didn’t stop in the first quarter and continued to play an excellent game in the third quarter as well. Although Curry sat out for the entire fourth quarter, he managed to put up 51 points by the end of the third quarter.

Stephen Curry Has Outstanding Performance

Curry scored 18 points in just three minutes of play in the first quarter. and ended it with 23 points. As a result, he had the hot hand and made 11 three-pointers, which is the second most ever made by any NBA player in a game. It was also Curry’s 10th time making 10 threes or more in a game.

Curry’s game was so outstanding, that this one was all about him. He ended the night with 51 points, shooting 15-24, and 11-16 from three point range. Also, Curry was 10-10 on his free throws. He accomplished all of this playing just 32 minutes.

Other Game Highlights

For the most part, Curry’s stellar game dimmed the lights on the remaining Warriors who also had a good game. Kevin Durant had 30 points (13-18), eight rebounds, and seven assists to finish his own outstanding game performance. Draymond Green finished his night with five points, five rebounds, and 12 assists. Klay Thompson finished with 19 points and two rebounds.

Although the Warriors had an outstanding performance in last night’s game, Thompson had a lack-luster game. Curry, along with Durant, stole the show and it was one of the most exciting games of the NBA season thus far. This also ends their home stand and they will be on the road against the New York Knicks on Friday night.
