Luke Shaw Signs New Long-Term Deal At Manchester United

Luke Shaw has signed a new long-term deal at Manchester United. The new five-year contract will keep the 23-year-old at Old Trafford until 2023. His new worth per week will be £150,000. ESPN and other British outlets broke the news Thursday morning.

The left-back joined United from Southampton back in 2014 in a £30 million deal.

Since joining Manchester, Shaw has featured 75 times while scoring one goal and assisting in four occasions.

This season, United boss Jose Mourinho has lined up Shaw in nine of 11 occasions.

However, in Mourinho’s first two years, he spent most on the sidelines and playing behind Ashley Young.

During this time, Shaw has been named the United player of the month for August and September.

The team is scheduled to make a formal announcement later today.

Shaw withdrew from the Nations League international fixtures with England due to an injury. However, he is expected to be ready for the match against Chelsea on Saturday.
