Brew Crew Set to Take on Dodgers for Game 3 of NLCS

After a devastating loss in Game 2, the Brewers look to rebound in Game 3 of the NLCS. The Brewers are sending right-handed veteran Jhoulys Chacin to the mound to take on Dodgers-rookie Walker Buehler. On the year, Chacin is 15-8 with a 3.50 ERA and 156 strikeouts. He was brilliant in his first career postseason start in the NLDS. He went five scoreless innings allowing just three hits. On the other side of the rubber, Walker Buehler is set to start for LA. In his rookie season, Buehler posted a record of 8-5 with a 2.62 ERA and 151 strikeouts. Buehler faced the Brewers last on July 31st. During that start, he allowed one run in seven innings of work. Game 3 of the NLCS can be seen on FS1 at 7:39 pm EST.

Brewers Look for Fresh Start in LA

Losing a postseason game at home is never easy. On Saturday, the Brewers lost their first playoff game at home in 2018. After a travel day yesterday, the Brewers will aim to steal a game tonight, and go up 2-1 in the series. The Brewers are 3-4 against the Dodgers this season. In the four-game set in LA, the Brewers split the series with the Dodgers at two games apiece. On the road, the Brewers had a record of 45-37 while at home, the Dodgers also have a record of 45-37. In terms of run production, the Brewers have scored 370 runs on the road in 2018. The Dodgers have scored 366 runs at home. Tonight should showcase a huge display of offensive production, paired with dynamic arms on both sides.

Key for Brewers to Win Game 3

The gameplan for the Brewers should be very simple; get to Walker Buehler early in the game. Buehler is a tough pitcher to face at home, posting a 1.93 ERA at home this season. However, a fully stacked Brewers lineup consisting of Yelich, Shaw, Moustakas, and potentially Curtis Granderson might give the Brew Crew their best shot at winning Game 3, and taking the series lead.
