Yankees Look to Bounce Back against Sox and Force Game 5

After a tough loss last night, the Yankees look to bounce back against the Red Sox. A Yankees win will force a Game 5 against the Red Sox and send the series back to Fenway Park. The Red Sox are sending former-AL Cy Young Rick Porcello to the mound against Yankees starter CC Sabathia. On the year, Rick Porcello is 17-7 with a 4.28 ERA along with 190 strikeouts. Porcello reverted back to his 2016 campaign on winning games for the Red Sox. He is winless with a 7.56 ERA in his first two postseason starts with Boston. The Yankees are sending CC Sabathia to the mound. He enters tonight carrying a record of 9-7 with a 3.65 ERA with 140 strikeouts for the Yankees. Sabathia has had his struggles against Boston this year but looks to build on previous success against them.

Yankees to Watch Out for Against Rick Porcello

Some notable bats in the Yankees lineup have had their ups and downs against Porcello in their careers. Giancarlo Stanton carries the best average against Porcello. Stanton is batting .375 in ten plate appearance against him. He has two doubles, five RBIs, yet no home runs. Brett Gardner also has had success against Porcello. He carries a .293 average, with two solo homers in 58 at-bats. One key bat that has struggled against Rick Porcello is Didi Gregorious. Gregorius has not fared well against Porcello, hitting just .161. Though he does have two homers off of the 2016 AL Cy Young, Gregorius will have to find a way to hit anything for the Yankees.

Bronx Bombers Look to Force Game 5

With a loss tonight, the Yankees are done for the 2018 season. With a win tonight, the Yankees taking the series back to Boston for a winner-take-all Game 5. Should the Yankees win both games, they will meet again with the Astros in the ALCS. The Yankees are in a do-or-die situation tonight as they look to keep their hopes alive at a 28th World Series title.
