Paris Saint-Germain vs Red Star Belgrade Preview

After losing their opening match 3-2 to Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain looks to get back to their winning ways against Red Star Belgrade.

However, in their first match, Red Star earned a very difficult 0-0 draw against Napoli which would put their ambitions high to upset the Parisians.

On the other hand, PSG has a string of eight domestic wins in Ligue 1. Additionally, Les Parisiens have scored on 27 occasions while only conceding six goals.

With Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani on the team, Neymar has been able to rack seven of the 27 goals scored so far. Nevertheless, Mbappe and Cavani have contended with five a piece.

Team News:

Unfortunately for PSG, they will be without goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon. Buffon is serving a two-game suspension. Additionally, Marco Verratti returns to action after serving his ban.

Dani Alves and Layvin Kurzawa continue to be sidelined with injuries. Also, Cavani will possibly return to starting eleven after being benched over the weekend.

However, for Red Star, Nikola Stojiljkovic has been ruled out while Vujadin Savic is still doubtful.

Predicted Lineups:

PSG: Areola; Bernat, Silva, Marquinhos, Kehrer; Rabiot Verratti; Mbappe, Neymar, Di Maria, Cavani

Red Start: Borjan; Rodic, Degenek, Babic, Stojkocic, Jovivic, Krsticic, Marin, Causic, Ben; Boakye

Match Prediction:

PSG is poised to earning a win, and a very good one. While Belgrade will be difficult, the firepower on PSG’s side will overcome the defense presented by the Red Star.
