UEFA Champions League

Juventus vs Young Boys Preview

Juventus host Swiss team Young Boys in matchday 2 of the Champions League. The Turin club will be confident heading into the game after a 3-1 win over Napoli at the weekend. Cristiano Ronaldo was involved in 2 of the goals. Young Boys have won their last 3 games in a row, including a 7-1 romp over Basel.

No Ronaldo

Ronaldo is out of the game through a suspension. The Italian clubs €100 million player was sent off in Juventus’s game against Valencia for a supposed kick and a hair pull. The red card prompted an eruption of tears from the 5 time Balon d’Or winner. Massimiliano Allegri claims a rest will be good for Ronaldo, he stated,

“Cristiano needed to rest because he has played so many games”

Allegri also stated that Paulo Dybala and Mandzukic will play up front, and Federico Bernardeschi will play out wide or in the hole.

Predictions

The game on paper should really only go one way. Juventus are arguably one of the strongest forces in European football. On their day they could beat any given team, so Young Boys should be another step on the road to hopeful Champions League glory. But stranger things have happened in football. There is nothing more dangerous than a team with nothing to lose, and because of their stature, Young Boys have nothing to lose what so ever.

Score Prediction: Juventus 3-0 Young Boys

Goalscorer Prediction: Dybala (2), Mandzukic

Dybala time to shine?

Could it be time for Dybala to shine again? With Ronaldo suspended, is it time for Paulo Dybala to take the reigns for this game and prove just how good he really is? The Argentinian was not played much in the World Cup, and his star power has taken a hit due to that. Is Dybala one of the best in the world? Give us your thoughts below!
