It’s Time For Giannis Antetokounmpo To Take Bucks To Next Level

Giannis Antetokounmpo has had a great career thus far as the Milwaukee Bucks franchise player. Antetokounmpo has given Bucks’ fans a reason to be hopeful, especially for this upcoming season. With LeBron James now with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Bucks now have an opportunity to shine in the Eastern Conference. It’s also a perfect opportunity for Antetokounmpo to shine in the east. It’s now time for him to take the Bucks to the next level.

Bucks Are Hoping Continuity Will Pay Off For Them

The Bucks are hoping continuity will pay off for them. They’ll have pretty much every key component to the team returning. Thon Maker, Matthew Dellavedova, John Henson, and a returning Ersan Ilyasova, who is now back for his third stint with the team. Also, Tony Snell will be returning as well.

Antetokounmpo knows this Bucks team will go as far as he carries it. He’ll also have a full season with point guard Eric Bledsoe, who was acquired in a trade last season from the Phoenix Suns. Kris Middleton will also be there as well. He’s a good player who can shoot, score and defend.

Malcolm Brogdon is also a big piece of their team. His primary position is point guard, but he can play some shooting guard if needed. This past off-season, they also acquired big man Brook Lopez in free agency, who played last season with the Lakers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Has To Guide The Bucks Out Of The First Round

The Bucks have been in the playoffs three of the last four seasons. However, their recent playoff runs have ended in the first round. This year, they have an opportunity to get out of the first round since the 2000-01 season. Anything less than a playoff series win for the Bucks this season will be a disappointment. Antetokounmpo knows this and he’s been working with Kobe Bryant this summer on taking that next step.

He knows he has to change the narrative of just being a guy that excites fans in the highlight reels. He understands that it’s time to win, especially with the Eastern Conference being more open than it’s been in years. Becoming the best player in the east is also his goal.

The scary part is, he averaged 26.9 points and 10.0 rebounds without a consistent jump-shot. His freakish athleticism, length, and his ability to attack the basket have him as one of the NBA’s elite. Everything he wants is on the table. The brass ring is there for him. The question is- Will he take it?

Out With The Old And In With The New

The Bucks have excitement coming into this season. They’ll now be playing in their new arena called the Fiserv Forum. It’s located in downtown Milwaukee. The BMO Harris Bradley Center, which has been around since 1988, will be demolished. With their new home, the Bucks hope it will help change their franchise’s fortunes, as they look to improve their history.
