Brewers Fans Exhale as Brew Crew Wins Game 163

The Milwaukee Brewers are heading to October baseball as NL Central Division Champs for the second time in franchise history. The first time was their last postseason appearance in 2011. Brewers fans heaved a huge sigh of relief. Instead of playing in a winner-take-all Wild Card game, the Brewers will face either the Cubs or Dodgers in the Division Series with home-field advantage. After losing out on a postseason spot in the last few days just a year ago Brewers faithful were ecstatic to witness the Crew as division champs. The Brewers have a strong all-around team that can match up with almost any lineup in baseball. October will certainly be an exciting time in Milwaukee, and fans have a lot to smile about.

What to Expect From the Crew in October

The Brewers head into postseason baseball with the best record/number-one seed in the National League with a record of 96-67. By month, their percent chance of winning the division never rose above 20.2% throughout the entire season. This is a huge accomplishment considering how dangerous the Cubs lineup can be. The Brewers will host the winner of the Wild Card game in a best-of-five set. Led by MVP-candidate Christian Yelich, the Brewers have one of the best scoring offenses in baseball. Their starting rotation has been strong all year, and their bullpen is arguably the best in the sport. Expect a deep run from the Brewers come playoff time. They are certainly a favorite to represent the National League in the Fall Classic.

Just like any other fanbase, Brewers fans have a lot to be excited about this season. The rebuilding process in Milwaukee has gone faster than expected with plenty of prospects continuing to prosper in the minors. The Brewers have a legitimate chance to win the World Series in 2018 and will be a fun team to watch in the future.
