Pete Dunne Tweets About Fans Seeing Him in Public

Pete Dunne, current and longest reigning WWE United Kingdom Champion, is now holding the championship for over a year. He beat Tyler Bate at NXT TakeOver: Chicago, winning the title for the first time in a highly anticipated match; getting the Match of the Year at the NXT Year-End Awards. He even defeated WWE Cruiserweight Champion Enzo in a non-title match.

Recently the UK Champion tweeted his loyal fans, letting them know it’s totally okay for “marking out” if they see him in public places. This has come up since Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are reportedly being rude to fans when some fans try to approach them in public. Dunne tweeted:

“If you spot me in public you don’t need to apologize for ‘marking out’ it’s absolutely fine to enjoy wrestling.

Plus I won’t want to speak to you regardless.”

The Bruiserweight also wrestled NXT North American Champion Ricochet in a Champion vs. Champion Match this past week on NXT; resulting in a disqualification after the Undisputed Era got involved in the match and attacked both.

Dave Meltzer gave his thought on the finish of the match in the episode of The Wrestling Observer and said that the plan was to bring more heat on The Undisputed Era because they destroyed a fantastic match.

“It could have been an awesome 25-minute match and it’s still a great match but it was lacking the most important thing in the match which is the finish,” he said (via WrestleNewz).

“They had to take one for the team in a lot of ways because the whole idea was to put heat on the Undisputed Era for breaking up this big match that was the whole story — that was the reason for the match being so great for it to be broken up.”

Pete Dunne has a very bright future since he is only 24 years old!
