Arsenal vs Everton Preview

Emirates Stadium, London – Arsenal will look to extend their Premier League winning run to four games when Everton visit the Emirates Stadium.

After losing their opening two games of the season, the Gunners won their next three League matches before beating Vorskla 4-2 in Thursday night’s Europa League opener.

Everton’s season has yet to really get going with three draws from their opening five games to leave them 10th. Marco Silva will definitely want a reaction after last weekend’s shock home defeat to West Ham.

Previous Encounters:

Arsenal are unbeaten in 24 home matches against Everton in all competitions (W20 D4) since a 2-1 Premier League defeat in January 1996.

Everton have played more Premier League matches at the Emirates without winning (12 – W0 D4 L8) than any other club.

Team News:

Laurent Koscielny (Achilles), Sead Kolasinac (knee), Ainsley Maitland-Niles (leg) and Carl Jenkinson (ankle) remain absent for Arsenal, with no fresh injury concerns.

Meanwhile for Everton, defender Yerry Mina could come into contention for his debut after a full week of training following a foot problem.

Fellow center-back Phil Jagielka should be ready to train with the squad again next week following a knee injury but Andre Gomes (hamstring) and Seamus Coleman (foot) remain sidelined.

Potential Lineups:

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Cech; Bellerin, Sokratis, Mustafi, Monreal; Torreira, Xhaka; Ozil, Ramsey, Aubameyang; Lacazette.

Everton (4-2-3-1): Pickford; Kenny, Holgate, Zouma, Digne; Gueye, Davies; Walcott, Sigurdsson, Richarlison; Tosun.

Match Prediction:

Arsenal are unbeaten in 24 home matches against Everton in all competitions. And after having won their previous four games in all competitions, it’ll look highly unlikely for them to slip up against Everton.

The Toffees have a poor record on the road. They have hit a brick wall after last week’s loss at home to West Ham. With their defense looking really fragile, it’s going to be a daunting task for them to contain a strike force of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Prediction : Arsenal 3-0 Everton
