Wolves Hold United To A Draw

Joao Moutinho stunner holds Manchester United on Sir Alex Ferguson’s return to Old Trafford.

United dropped points for the second successive home game as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Nuno Espirito Santo.

Former manager Alex Ferguson was back at Old Trafford for the first time since his May health scare.

United broke the deadlock in the 18th minute through Fred. He got his first goal for United.

Moutinho scored Wolves’ deserved equalizer with a fine finish early in the second half and, although United upped the pressure late on, they could not find a winner in ‘Fergie time’.

After an EFL Cup game with Derby County on Tuesday, United’s next Premier League game sees them travel to West Ham. Wolves host Leicester City in the cup, before then welcoming Southampton to Molineux in the league.
