WWE

2018 has been such an interesting year! It’s almost over, but not quite. So from now till December 31, 2018, something more exciting could possibly happen. In the mind of the writer, I’m here to share my favorite moments, and thoughts about 2018. These are my favorite WWE events in 2018, so far.

WWE events in 2018

Ronda Rousey

2018 started off with former UFC fighter signing with WWE. Ronda Rousey showed up, to Royal Rumble, and made her presence well known; when she pointed to the Wrestlemania sign! The news was all over the internet and the news! Ronda Rousey has signed with the WWE. She is the first female to be entered into the UFC Hall of Fame. However, at SummerSlam, Rousey defeated Alexa Bliss and became the Raw Women’s Champion. I had tears of joy. I think I maybe even cried a little.

NXT Debuts to Main Roster

Ember Moon, Sanity, and Authors of Pain, all debuted after Wrestlemania; if not shortly after. It really was a great feeling to see them, finally make their spot on the main roster. Will they gain titles soon? I definetly hope so.

AOP Change/Drake Maverick

The Authors of Pain debuted, after Wrestlemania with Paul Ellering and after winning the match; they left Paul at the ring. It was sign that it was a clear break up. Authors of Pain went MIA for a bit, and showed up once in awhile. A few weeks ago, they came back to Monday Night Raw with a new manager. They came with Drake Maverick. Whose Drake Maverick? He was formerly known as Rockstar Spud; and is the currently the 205 Live! General Manager. Most people are saying that Maverick, is not a good fit for AOP. However, I am excited to see where he takes them! I am happy to see somebody that can actually take Ellering’s place; and still be able to show a dark side; and be able to be in the right state of mind, to control the dominance of the team.

The Bella Twins

Nikki and Brie returned to the WWE ring! What more could we ask for is a Bella booty shaking again?  They are the only true divas left. We can’t forget about Natalya though, she’s still rocking it out in the WWE. I am excited to maybe even see them accomplish and break records like the other females have.

The Shield

Dean Ambrose returned right before SummerSlam, to help his shield brother Seth Rollins win back the Intercontinental Championship. Roman Reigns  defeated Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam, and became the WWE Universal Champion. At Hell in the Cell, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins has an opportunity to claim the tag titles. That means The Shield will have all titles on Raw. Can they do it? Or is it just another break in the faction with somebody turns again. I am a huge fan of The Shield; even though they have been getting beat down, by the heels of Raw roster; I am still excited to see what’s next for the hounds of justice.

Charlotte Flair Breaks Records

The queen of the Flair legacy has broken records ever since she stepped foot into the WWE. Charlotte Flair started out breaking a record at Wrestlemania 34, when she ended the 914 day undefeated streak of Asuka! She made the empress tap out to the figure 8, and retained the title. Flair has also became a 7x Women’s Champion, with 8 title reigns in all! She also holds the record of most pay-per- views wins for a WWE female superstar at 24. The queen is not done yet, she will keep making history and breaking records. As a proud fan of her, I can’t wait to keep cheering her on, and watch her keep building the Flair name; and follow in her dad Ric Flair’s footsteps. Wooooooo!!

As we come to an conclusion: This leads me to one more thing, that truly has made me a proud WWE fan.

Renee Young

Renee Young started out in NXT, and has moved her way up to the main roster. Young became part of the kick off panel of the pay-per-views, and the backstage and in ring interviewer for both Raw and Smackdown. She even took a fill in as commentator, when Jonathan Coachman was away. Last week that all changed. Renee Young became the first ever female to become a full time commentator on Monday Night Raw. I’m so happy for this accomplishment for her! She deserves this opportunity and she will dominate it!

You may not agree with some of my words in this article, however we all know the real words, and opinions come from a WWE/sports fan!
