Horizon League and 313 Presents Final Season

The Horizon League and 313 Presents have mutually agreed that 2019 will be the final year under their current agreement.

“We have enjoyed a great partnership with Olympia Entertainment and 313 Presents to successfully host our men’s and women’s basketball championships in the city of Detroit,” said Horizon League Commissioner Jon LeCrone. “We’re looking forward to Motor City Madness in 2019 in a world-class arena.”

The Council has created an ad hoc committee to explore sites for future league championships, therefore the league retained the services of an Indianapolis based consulting firm to aid in the process, TSE Consulting.

“Opportunities to host future Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships will be open to all of our member schools, and their surrounding communities, including Detroit. We are open to collaborative bids from a variety of partners,” continued LeCrone.
