Second-Generation Driver Harrison Burton Returns to the Truck Series for Canadian Road Course Race

Today Harrison Burton returns to action in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for his 4th race of the season. This is a good sight to see, as last week Burton had to withdraw from competition due to an illness. Christopher Bell was the driver who took his seat for Bristol weekend, but luckily he won’t be needed this weekend. Not only will Burton be returning to the driver seat, but he will also be making his 1st start at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. This race today should be a great opportunity for the young driver to showcase his talents.

Impressive Performance in Limited Starts for Burton

While today is a great opportunity for Burton to showcase his talents, he should already have caught the eye of many. As in his 3 prior starts this season, he has not finished worse than 8th. In his 3 starts in 2018, he has results of 8th, 5th, and 3rd. To go with the impressive finishes Burton also has a pole to boast, which he won at Iowa in June. However, that pole is Burton’s only start inside the top-10 in his three starts so far in 2018. This means Burton learns throughout the race and just keeps getting better, which is good news for him today.

In Saturday’s qualifying session, Burton qualified his #51 Hunt Brothers Pizza Toyota Tundra in 14th. Which means in today’s race Burton will have his work cut out for him. Road course racing is not forgiving and if he gets overly aggressive early he could ruin his day. However, if his other starts are any indication of how today will go, that shouldn’t be an issue for the 17-year-old from North Carolina. So during today’s race look for the #51 Toyota Tundra to come through the field as Harrison Burton returns to action.
