Busch Brothers Will Do Battle In Bristol

Over NASCAR’s many seasons we’ve seen relatives race against each other. In modern-day NASCAR, the biggest of the relative rivalries come from Kurt and Kyle Busch.  These two brothers have found their way to NASCAR stardom and both have done so in championship-winning fashion. Currently, both Kurt and Kyle Busch race for 2 of the hottest teams in NASCAR.  Though younger brother Kyle has had more recent success, you can never leave Kurt out of the equation.

Busch Brother’s Bristol Stats

Going into tonight’s race at Bristol, it would seem Kyle has the upper hand. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has already claimed 6 wins this season and is the most recent Bristol winner. Altogether he’s claimed 7 wins in his 26 starts at “The Last Great Coliseum.”  Though he has had 2 wins in the last 2 races at Bristol, not all recent starts have been good for driver 18. In five of the last eight races, he’s finished lower than 29th place. With the way things have gone for the 18 team this season so far, Kyle will be a definite contender tonight.

Second in line for most Bristol wins among active drivers is Kurt Busch. Kurt has claimed 5 wins in Bristol but hasn’t won recently. In fact, Kurt’s most recent Bristol win dates all the way back to 2006. Overall, driver 41 has claimed 17 top-10s and 10 top-5s in his 35 starts. With retirement rumored to be close for Kurt, another Bristol win would be a great way to help close an amazing career. Though the odds may not look to be in his favor, it’s Bristol and anything can happen.

Make sure to tune in tonight to find out if one of the Busch brothers can win again in Thunder Valley!
