For all those Clemson fans or football fans, that didn’t know; but here is a fact for you. Head Coach Dabo Swinney use to play wide receiver for Alabama but had an opportunity to play catch with an NFL Hall of Famer.

Brett Favre Visits Clemson

As an invited guest, Favre came to practice and spoke to the team. The NFL legend replaced a manager on the other end of a traditional practice warm-up toss with Swinney. Apparently, the old man still has game. Swinney said:

“That was a little different velocity coming at me, but I was 100 percent(catching) so that was a good deal for me.”

The presence of the legend should have been a great opportunity and very inspiring for every Clemson player; since a great number of them want to play in the NFL. Favre suited up for 20 years and was able to set a bunch of NFL records. He is truly a great example for future generations of football players to follow.

It turned out that Favre’s speech was very memorable for Trevor Lawrence, who happens to be the No. 1 recruit of 2018. Kelly Bryant is the starter, but Lawrence is considered the quarterback of the future and bullet of a talent.

Clemson opens the upcoming 2018 season as #2 overall in the AP rankings and they’ve built a culture of family first football. Coach Swinney runs a tight ship but treats his players as his own. That, in itself, has helped Clemson to grow into one of college football’s outstanding powerhouses.

What is the future of the quarterbacks? Did the speech inspire?
