Five College Football Stadiums to Fear in 2018

Home field advantage can strike fear into the hearts of opposing teams. Winning on the road is tough in this day and age, but mix in the fact that there are 80,000+ in the stands riled up on a Saturday night….good luck. Wins will be tough to come by for any teams entering these hostile environments. I present to you: five college football stadiums to fear in 2018!

Camp Randall Stadium – Home of the Wisconsin Badgers

Ah, Camp Randall Stadium. A place where the song, “Jump Around,” starts blaring and the entire stadium turns into a frenzy. 2017 was so close to seeing the Badgers make a playoff appearance. I honestly had a hard time choosing between Wisconsin and Penn State for this spot. However, I feel like Wisconsin MIGHT be the scarier team to play at home this year despite the scenic “white out” of Beaver stadium.

Ohio Stadium aka The Horseshoe – Home of the Ohio State Buckeyes

Ohio State may be a B1G school, but they might as well be located in the southeast. The Buckeyes have some of the most football crazy fans you can meet. Ohio State has only lost three games since 2013! The fall is a sacred time in Columbus, Ohio and that means 100,000+ riled Buckeye fans on top of opposing teams the moment they walk into The Horseshoe.

Sanford Stadium aka Between the Hedges – Home of the Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs’ recent success is just the icing on the cake for the Bulldog faithful. Sanford Stadium has always had a reputation of being a rowdy place. Now that the Bulldogs have tasted some success, the 90,000+ fans have even more reason to be fired up Between the Hedges on Saturday nights in the fall!

Clemson Memorial Stadium aka Death Valley – Home of the Clemson Tigers

Clemson has only lost 2 games at home since 2013. One loss to the 2013-2014 National Champion Florida State and the other to a scrappy Pittsburgh team in 2016. Opposing teams enter the stadium to see a sea of 80,000 Clemson fans ready to witness the greatest 25 seconds in college football. Teams visiting Death Valley, say your prayers and hope you get out alive.

Bryant-Denny Stadium – Home of the Alabama Crimson Tide

Bryant-Denny Stadium really doesn’t need a story of why it is a tough venue. Remember the, “we want ‘Bama” chants and signs? Nobody wants to go to Bryant-Denny Stadium where the Crimson Tide have only lost one time — yes, one time — since 2013! As Head Coach Nick Saban keeps the five stars rolling in, expect to hear this chant from 100,000+ ‘Bama fans at the end of the game.

Honorable Mentions: Husky Stadium – Washington Huskies, Beaver Stadium aka Happy Valley – Penn State, Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium – West Virginia

What do you think? Which college football stadiums would you put on the list as a house of horrors for the 2018 college football season?
