Oregon State Football Preview: The Epitome Of Failure

Since the beginning of this century. The Beavers have been easily the worst team in the PAC-12. Almost always at the bottom of the conference, they come up every five years or so to make an appearance in a minor bowl. Then they sink back into their pit of despair. This season doesn’t seem to stray far from the course. The Oregon State football program is on yet another new head coach. They lost one of their best recruits when he de-committed after committing for months, and have not found an identity on either side of the ball. The only positive I see for this team is the uniforms are not too bad.

One Big Question?

Will we see any improvement from this team. Even if they don’t win more than a game or two, will we see them start to find a scheme and personnel to build off of in the coming years? ‘Cause this team’s futility can’t last forever. Can it?

Predictions

They should honestly consider it a win if they don’t lose by 30 points to every team in conference play. I see them winning against Southern Utah semi-confidently. And maybe they win against a strong group of Five opponent in Nevada. That’s about it.

Game to Watch

Ohio State, just to see how badly they lose. I say by at least 50 points. And if Oregon State magically wins in the largest upset of the century, I will cut my own leg off, and beat myself to death with it.

Upset Alert

Nevada is one of many strong Group of Five opponents. They look to be possible Mountain West champ and even try and sneak into the New Years Six. To do that they have to win in Corvallis. Which with the team Oregon State has might not actually be too hard of a task.
