Mavericks finalizing One-Year 5 Million Dollar Dirk Nowitzki deal per league sources. Nowitzki is a future NBA Hall Of Famer and the Star of the Dallas Mavericks. This may very well be the last season that he plays in the NBA. Mark Cuban stated that Dirk playing beyond the 2018-2019 NBA season was at less than 50 percent.

Dirk Nowitzki placed sixth on the list of NBA Career Scoring Leaders with 31,187 points total. He has been the Star attraction of the Dallas Mavericks his whole NBA career. It’s safe to assume that Dirk will retire from the NBA soon as a Maverick. Nowitzki began playing for Dallas since 1988 in a trade arrangement between the Milwaukee Bucks And Dallas. Dirk was the 9th NBA draft pick in 1988.

Dirk Nowitzki Accolades

Nowitzki rose as the Star since he began playing for them in 1988. He’s a 13-time ALL-Star and a 12-time All-NBA Team Member. Dirk led the Mavericks to 15 NBA Playoff appearances. And rallied them to win their only NBA Championship in 2011 against the Miami Heat 4 games to 1. Nowitzki was the points leader and Finals MVP.

Nowitzki is known for many attributes in his NBA career among many. He’s recognized for his Scoring, Agility, outside shots, versatility, and his trademark fadeaway jump shot. He is also one of seven players to play at least 20 seasons in the NBA. And the second player to accomplish that achievement with the same franchise.

It’s Hard To Say Goodbye

It will be disheartening to say goodbye to this legendary player, If and when he chooses to retire. Dirk is just one of those players that you loved watching play. His NBA abilities were second-to-none and his life-long legacy as a Maverick will live on for at least another year. It’s been a long road for Nowitzki but his stellar career will be remembered for generations to come.
