World Cup 2018: Japan vs Senegal Preview

Group H’s Japan and Senegal will start their second match competition when they meet in Ekaterinburg Arena. Japan comes to this match having won their first match against Colombia while Senegal comes from an outstanding performance against Poland. Both understand that the winner will likely set themselves into the next round.

Akira Nishino side were impressive in their 2-1 win over Colombia. The Samurai Blue casted one of the best performance and confidence showing thus far. While Senegal were just as impressive in their match against Poland. However, they both understand that a win will put them into the next phase of the tournament.

Possible line-ups:

Japan: Eiji Kawashima; Hiroki Sakai, Maya Yoshida, Gen Shoji, Yuto Nagatomo; Makoto Hasebe, Gaku Shibasaki, Genki Haraguchi, Shinji Kagawa, Takashi Inui; Yuya Osako.

Senegal: Khadim Ndiaye; Moussa Wague, Salif Sane, Kalidou Koulibaly, Lamine Gassama; Ismaila Sarr, Alfred Ndiaye, Idrissa Gane Gueye, Sadio Mane; Mame Diouf, Mbaye Niang.

Prediction:

Senegal have never lost in group stages of a World Cup (albeit there is only one reference), and have a four winning streak in World Cup participation. Japan, a veteran warrior of World Cups, will like to represent the Asian region. In any case, Senegal will win the match.
