Kawhi Leonard Reportedly Wants Out Of San Antonio

Losing year after year after year is never a great feeling. However, as Aerosmith once said “You gotta lose to know how to win” and I couldn’t agree anymore. Everyone wants to be a winner, and everyone wants to be the “guy” on their team. Which could be the main reason Kawhi wants out of San Antonio. If this is anything like when Kevin Durant went to free agency and signed to Golden State. It’s going to bring a lot of attention to whatever team he picks. Although, in return, they are getting a terrific player that can help whoever to a championship trophy.

Likely Landing Spots For Kawhi

Multiple teams make sense for Kawhi to call home. For one the most apparent seeing he said it himself, is the Los Angelas Lakers. Who has a core of young talented players, and with some veteran leadership can become a playoff team yet again. Then there is also the Boston Celtics, with the addition of Kyrie Irving and Gordon Heyward. Kawhi would be a good fit for a Boston team that could use an all-around magnificent player. Wherever he goes, it’s not going to be hard for him to start getting some offers. Leonard is eligible for a five-year, $219 million contract extension. He does have an opt-out clause which would make him a free agent in 2019. However, I highly doubt he stays in San Antonio for another season.

Kawhi’s 2018 Season

Always an all-around player, Kawhi was no different this year, dominating on the defensive side and the offensive side. Averaging 16.2 points a game and with 3.5 assists per game. There isn’t anything I can tell you about Kawhi Leonard that you don’t already know. And I’m sure wherever he goes all fan bases would love to have this man on their team.
