Cubs And Jon Lester Look To Bounce Back Against Tribe

It seemed that The Cubs were on their way and destined for a good stretch of baseball. Only to get hammered at home by the Indians. However, today The Cubs look to bounce back from the 10-1 beating and tie the series at a game apiece. Jon Lester is set to take the mound today, and he is starting to look like the Jon Lester we all know and love. He’s managed a two era in his past four starts. Allowing no more than two runs while being able to rack up a fair amount of strikeouts. So, join The Cubs at 7:05 P.M. as they look to bounce back against The Indians.

Starting Pitcher Of The Game

Jon Lester takes the bump tonight against The Indians and looks to bounce back after Cleveland tagged The Cubs for ten runs. The starters have been reliable in the past couple of rotations(minus Chatwood’s shaky performance), so I’m excited to see Jon work and if he can build off his recent success. Last time Jon faced off against Cleveland was April 25th, 2018, Jon was able to go 7.0 IP 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER and the loss. Let’s hope it’s a different change of fortune for Jon tonight because this team needs as many as they can get.

Jon Lester Final Line Prediction- 5.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB and 6 SO

Offense Needs To Step Up And Give Run Support

Last nights game was something else; The Cubs were able to hit and get on base. They weren’t able to score any runs with men in scoring position. The offense shows flashes of greatness, then like a black bear in the winter, they go into hibernation. This type of play doesn’t win a World Series, at best it get’s you a Wild Card spot. And this Cubs team is a lot better than a Wild Card spot. There were a lot of new moves made, especially in the coaching department. And it’s understandable if it takes the team a while to adjust to the new coaching strategies.
