It’s Been A Rocky Six Years For Mychal Kendricks In Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Eagles have decided to release Mychal Kendricks after spending six rocky years in the City of Brotherly Love. The most asked question from Eagles fans is, did the team try to trade Kendricks to another team? They did, but they failed.

Chances are the team did try to get something out of Kendricks. But the fact that the Eagles released Kendricks says a lot about the situation. It says Kendricks had no real value and the best move was to release him.

The Time Was Coming For Kendricks And We All Knew It

No doubt that Kendricks stepped up this season. The Eagles suffered a lot of injuries, and the depth of LB was tested big time last season. A player that was in trade talks during last preseason demonstrated his worth when his number was called.

It was only a matter of time until Kendricks was released or traded to another team. The team has had intentions of letting him go for some time now and it looks like the team finally pulled the trigger. No Eagles fan should be upset because the truth is Kendricks was due.

Philly Is Thin At Linebacker So Expect The Team To Make A Move

Tuesday has been a lousy day for Eagles linebackers. Philly didn’t only lose Kendricks, but they also lost linebacker Paul Worrilow to a torn ACL in the first day of OTAs. There’s no doubt in my mind that the team is currently looking for replacements.

Worrilow’s season ended before he got a chance to prove himself on the field. It’s a shame for him, but the team has to move on. Expect Philly to make a move soon because the truth is they have no choice.

Thank you, Mychal Kendricks, for your time in Philly. The Eagles faithful will forever remember you for being a piece to the Eagles’ Super Bowl puzzle.
